Reporting to the Director of CLASS (Center for Learning and Academic Support Services), the Assistant Director of V-CLASS (Virtual Center for Learning and Academic Support Services) serves as a strategic leader responsible for the development, implementation, assessment, and expansion of Augusta University's virtual academic support services. This position provides comprehensive leadership for online tutoring, academic coaching, embedded virtual support, academic recovery initiatives, digital learning resources, and student success interventions tailored for undergraduate, graduate, professional, online, hybrid, clinical, and non-traditional learners.

The Assistant Director manages day-to-day V-CLASS operations and directly supervises professional staff, graduate assistants, peer educators, and virtual academic support personnel. Key responsibilities include leading strategic planning, program development, technology integration, assessment, and data-informed decision-making. The role collaborates extensively across campus with faculty, academic departments, Online Learning, IT, Institutional Effectiveness, and Student Success units to integrate support services seamlessly into virtual learning environments, advancing AU's goals for enrollment growth, retention, persistence, and degree completion.
