After School Paraprofessional - Saddle Ridge Elem & Middle

The Paraprofessional for our 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) after school program at Saddle Ridge Elementary & Middle School provides direction for the program and classroom and implements program curriculum. The 21st CCLC Paraprofessional provides a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA values: honesty, respect, responsibility, caring and faith.

Shifts for this role are Monday-Friday from 2pm-6pm every day that school is in session.

• Implements daily lesson/activity plans within established guidelines.
• Supervises children and all program activities.
• Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child.
• Maintain positive relationships through effective communication and engagement with parents.
• Maintains program site and equipment.
• Maintains required program records.
• Attends and participates in YMCA Branch family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.
• Attend and participate in school partner family nights, school events, and school activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of college preferred.
• Previous experience working with elementary school aged children in a group setting preferred.
• Previous experience working with elementary school aged people from various diverse backgrounds preferred.
