We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental and Energy Manager to join our team. As the Environmental and Energy Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, optimize energy usage, and drive sustainability initiatives. Your expertise in environmental management, energy conservation, and sustainable practices will play a crucial role in minimizing our environmental impact while maximizing operational efficiency.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental laws, regulations, and permits, including air emissions, wastewater management, hazardous waste disposal, and other environmental aspects specific to the manufacturing industry.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive environmental and energy management strategy aligned with the organization’s sustainability goals, promoting resource conservation, waste reduction, and pollution prevention.
- Identify energy-saving opportunities, monitor energy consumption, and implement initiatives to optimize energy efficiency throughout the manufacturing processes. This includes evaluating equipment performance, implementing energy-saving technologies, and promoting employee awareness and engagement in energy conservation practices.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify potential environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement appropriate controls and procedures to minimize environmental impact.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely environmental reports to regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements. Maintain records and documentation related to environmental permits, monitoring data, and inspections.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including management, operations, engineering, and maintenance teams, to promote environmental awareness and engagement throughout the organization.
- Stay up to date with changes in environmental regulations, guidelines, and best practices relevant to the manufacturing industry. Develop and implement training programs to ensure employees’ understanding of and compliance with environmental policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and conduct internal environmental audits to assess compliance, identify areas for improvement, and drive corrective actions to address any deficiencies.
- Develop sustainability reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) related to environmental and energy metrics. Analyze and communicate the results to stakeholders, highlighting progress, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Develop, manage, and forecast the plant site’s energy and environmental budgets, including utilities, waste disposal, emissions compliance, sustainability initiatives, and capital improvement projects; monitor expenditures, analyze variances, and implement cost-control strategies to ensure alignment with financial and operational goals.
- Proactively seek opportunities to enhance environmental performance, energy efficiency, and sustainability initiatives. Implement and drive continuous improvement projects and initiatives that align with the organization’s goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
