Ardurra is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our staff in Augusta, GA. This role involves planning, designing, permitting, and administering construction of water and wastewater systems for municipal clients throughout Florida and the Southeast.
Primary FunctionThis position will plan, design, provide construction administration, and may manage aspects of multidiscipline projects consisting of water/wastewater treatment and collection/distribution systems.
Essential Functions of the Job- Develop detailed designs, plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates for treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, tanks and other water/wastewater storage and conveyance systems.
- Perform or manage engineering/process design, hydraulics, pumping systems, and treatment process projects.
- Coordinate with multiple departments and sub‑consultants required for multi‑discipline projects.
- Research and utilize available resources.
- Lead or assist a project team in completing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communicate effectively, in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Gather data for engineering analyses through phone contacts, written correspondence, and research sources.
- Perform calculations and research in support of designs using engineering formulas and skills in formulating possible results based on different scenarios.
- Prepare engineering reports, opinions and recommendations.
- Maintain completed project files and proper document control.
- Prepare design drawings, technical specifications, material quantity take‑offs and develop construction cost estimates for projects.
- Bachelor's degree or better in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field required.
- Approximately 2 to 5 years of experience in municipal water/wastewater and/or public works engineering on local water/wastewater utility projects.
