Pulp and Paper Technical Sales Internship - Fall

Overview

Solenis is a leading global provider of water and hygiene solutions with a broad portfolio of water treatment chemistries, process aids, functional additives, cleaners and disinfectants, and monitoring and control systems. The company operates globally and employs professionals across many countries.

As a Pulp and Paper Technical Sales Intern, you will engage in real commercial projects at customers' pulp and paper facilities. You will build hands-on industry know-how, own a project from start to finish, and gain exposure to what a career in technical sales can look like.

• Gain hands-on work experience applying methods and theories learned in class
• Develop new skills and refine others, such as technical acumen, project management, communication, presentation skills, and business acumen
• Work on a specific customer project with tangible deliverables, demonstrating how our solutions meet their needs
• Pair with a Solenis mentor who will provide guidance and feedback during the internship
• Network with professionals in your field
• Get a realistic job preview and the ability to evaluate Solenis as a potential employer

• Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to find solutions to real-world problems with sustainability and cost performance as primary drivers
• Contribute to a safe work environment by embracing our Safety Culture and best practices
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Collaborate with a variety of people in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Apply coursework in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pulp & Paper, Chemistry, or other relevant STEM majors

Note:

Access to a reliable vehicle is a requirement due to remote and industrial locations.

Open to current students pursuing Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pulp & Paper, Chemistry, or other relevant STEM majors. Ability to apply coursework to real-world problems and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences. Committed to safety and able to work in a team environment. Willingness to learn and grow within Solenis.
