Manufacturing Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for resolving nonconformance in supplied materials for Raytheon factories. Works with Operations, Quality, Program Management, and Engineering to root cause and implement corrective actions.
Responsibilities- Utilize analytical capabilities and communication skills to lead rapid resolution of supplier‑caused issues impacting the factory.
- Represent supplier assurance as the onsite interface to Raytheon factories supporting factory tier meetings, layered process assessments, and nonconforming material reviews.
- Analyze supplied material non‑conformance metrics and develop action plans to address top and systemic drivers.
- Investigate issues with supplied material ensuring accuracy of defect documentation, robust root‑cause analysis, and completion of corrective solutions.
- Assist with quarantine, containment, and screening of suspect defective supplied hardware.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum five years of experience in quality, operations, engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools and processes.
- Experience with ISO
9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management System. - Experience with hardware inspection techniques and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.
- Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers and internal teams.
- Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test and delivery.
- High computer proficiency, especially SAP, PRISM and Microsoft Office.
- Six Sigma, Lean or ASQ certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE).
Position requires U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret). U.S. citizenship mandatory. Eligible new hires may receive relocation assistance.
Compensation & Benefits- Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
