Electronics Controls Engineer

Electronics Controls Engineer needed for immediate direct hire role in the Augusta, GA area and become a part of team responsible for defining next generation vehicle control architecture for both electric and gas vehicles.

The right person for this role will have 5+ years vehicle experience designing controls for embedded systems and a passion for collaboration and the sharing of concepts with other internal on location development teams. Some other requirements for this role include system modeling using Matlab, Simulink, CAN/LIN and experience in vehicle telemetry, diagnostics, and data analytics.

Education:

Bachelors

• Define engine and vehicle control architecture and associated telemetry within focused team
• Identify and validate selection of vehicle control module options, sensors, and power management systems
• Develop and/or update electrical purchased part specifications and engineering drawings.
• Identify and assess key supplier capabilities using APQP processes and tools
• Prepare complete schedules and reports for assigned projects
• Provide engineering support to product planning

• BSME Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other related field along with 5+ years vehicle experience design of control systems or vehicle systems engineering
• Design of controls for embedded systems
• CAN/LIN Experience
• Must be a self‑motivated collaborator, able to think creatively and work with others to find solutions, drive execution, and focus on results
• Experience in system modeling using Matlab, Simulink, and Stateflow is a plus
• Basic experience with 3D‑CAD applications such as ProE
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
