Environmental Group Manager – Investigation & Remediation
Help shape the future of a growing environmental team. This role leads the Environmental Investigation and Remediation practice group, collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver projects on time, on budget, and above expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate closely with colleagues across the firm, actively listen to client needs, and develop practical, client‑focused solutions.
- Inspire and guide project teams, maintain momentum, and ensure smooth project execution even when challenges arise.
- Track project profitability, timelines, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure operational excellence.
- Mentor, motivate, and support local team members by managing workloads, providing coaching and feedback, tracking group performance, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Build and strengthen relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners through exceptional project delivery and targeted business development efforts.
- Contribute to and oversee complex environmental projects, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), knowledge and application of TCEQ programs and regulations, design and oversight of soil, soil vapor, and groundwater investigations, remedial action planning and implementation oversight, proposal development, cost estimating, technical reporting, data evaluation, and report preparation.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of direct environmental consulting experience aligned with the responsibilities of this role.
- Previous experience managing a team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of environmental regulations and regulatory programs impacting industrial, commercial, and energy‑sector clients.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills.
- Passion for helping grow and expand a client base through diverse business development initiatives.
- Detail‑oriented leadership style with the ability to quickly organize and manage changing priorities.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Competitive compensation range: $80,000.00 - $ with a sign‑on bonus up to $10,000.
