Job Summary

Supplier Quality Engineer needed for an immediate contract opportunity in the Augusta, GA area!

Qualified candidates should possess a BS Degree in Engineering, or have 3+ years of related supplier experience within a manufacturing environment.

The right person for this role will independently manage supplier quality performance, lead problem‑solving efforts, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement with suppliers. This person will collaborate with manufacturing, display a passion for critical thinking regarding quality issues and perform data analysis to drive continuous improvement activities. Knowledge and experience with AIAG APQP Process and AIAG Core Tools are preferred for this role.

There is a very solid chance of temp‑to‑direct hire for this role if desired.

EVANS, Georgia
• Contract • $40–46 per hour
• 8 am to 4 pm


Education:

Bachelors

Responsibilities
  • Ensure suppliers perform thorough root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions
  • Apply critical thinking to quality issues and perform analysis on data to drive continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure suppliers complete PPAP and APQP documentation for new product development and design/process changes
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and coach on the use of structured problem‑solving tools: 5 Why, 9-Step, A3, etc
  • Serve as project manager for any assigned projects
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Engineering, or 3+ years of related supplier quality experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems; understanding of AIAG APQP Process and AIAG Core Tools
  • Good understanding of consumer products, high‑volume lean manufacturing, and state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing processes
  • Excellent computer, analytical, planning and project management skills, and written and verbal communication
