Location: North Augusta

We are currently hiring for the position of Lead Engineer, Vehicle with one of our esteemed clients.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer to lead the design, development, and launch of mechanical components and sub-assemblies for innovative vehicle programs. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration within the vehicle industry.

Responsibilities
  • Lead development of vehicle-related components and systems from concept to production
  • Drive project risk assessment, mitigation planning, and product performance initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for new product development programs
  • Create and manage Engineering Release Plans, BOMs, and technical documentation
  • Support value engineering, benchmarking, and cost-reduction activities
  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure Design for Manufacture (DFM)
  • Ensure technical rigor through DFMEA, DVP, APQP, and design reviews
  • Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in vehicle-related industries preferred
  • Strong expertise in plastics and metals manufacturing processes
  • Experience with FEA, MBD, and engineering analysis tools
  • Knowledge of integrating electrical components into vehicle systems
  • Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Experience in consumer vehicles, golf cars, utility vehicles, or connected solutions
  • Expertise in tooling design, material selection, and failure analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Project, and Power Point
