Summary
Senior Plastics Engineer is needed for an immediate direct hire role in the Augusta, GA area to be subject‑matter expert in one or more areas of component design and processes (injection molding, extrusion, compression molding, blow molding, thermoforming) for an exciting commercial product line. The right person will be vibrant, have a passion for knowledge in the design and manufacture of plastics and composites, supplier interactions, design and release of plastics and composites, and involvement in engineering excellence projects.
Seeking a collaborator who can think creatively, work with others to find solutions, drive execution, and focus on results. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Plastics Engineering Technology or equivalent and 7 years of related experience. Relocation to Augusta, GA provided for qualified candidates.

Salary: $125, per year.
Work hours:
8 am to 4 pm.

- Develop and maintain material and component specifications and qualification plans.
- Be point of contact within engineering regarding customer issues.
- Contribute to requirements, risk analysis, DFMEA, DVP&R and specifications, engineering change notices.
- Develop and drive cross‑functional team to scheduled milestones for assigned projects.
- Mentor designers, lab technicians and other team members.
- Effectively self‑manage large projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Engineering Technology or equivalent along with 7 years of related experience.
- Subject matter expert in one or more areas of component design and processes (injection molding, extrusion, compression molding, blow molding, thermoforming).
- Proven understanding of all processes to manufacture plastic components: injection molding, extrusion, compression molding, blow molding, thermoforming, and other common processes.
- Expert in problem‑solving techniques (9‑step, 8‑D, etc.).
- Familiar with Mold Flow and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a plus.
- Must be an excellent verbal and written communicator with mentor skills.
