Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

Ardurra is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our staff in Augusta, GA.

Our innovative water and wastewater engineers collaborate closely with clients to plan, design, permit, and construct systems that address their needs comprehensively.

As a recognized leader in the Southeast water industry, our projects encompass treatment and infrastructure initiatives for municipal and institutional clients.

Primary Function:
This position will plan, design, provide construction administration, and possibly manage aspects of multidiscipline projects consisting of water/wastewater treatment and collection/distribution systems for municipal clients throughout Georgia and the Southeast region.

Scope of Projects:
Water/wastewater facility projects including green‑field treatment plant projects, upgrades, expansions, transmission pipelines, wastewater collection systems, pump stations and other related projects.

Primary Duties:

• Develop detailed designs, plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates for treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, tanks and other water/wastewater storage and conveyance systems.
• Perform or manage engineering/process design, hydraulics, pumping systems, and treatment process projects.
• Coordinate with multiple departments and sub‑consultants for multi‑discipline projects.
• Research and utilize available resources.
• Lead or assist a project team in completing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Gather data for engineering analyses through phone contacts, written correspondence, and research sources.
• Perform calculations and research using engineering formulas and skill to evaluate scenarios.
• Prepare engineering reports, opinions and recommendations.
• Maintain completed project files and ensure proper document control.
• Prepare design drawings, technical specifications, material quantity take‑offs and develop construction cost estimates for projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Managers/Task Leads.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 4 – 10 years of experience in municipal water/wastewater and/or public works field engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Understanding of water treatment, distribution and wastewater collection/treatment principles and state regulations.
