Salary: $130,000 – $165,000 per year

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer with power utility experience to join our dynamic team. This permanent position offers an opportunity to work in the intersection of the energy industry. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, analysis, and maintenance of mechanical systems in hydroelectric plants.

• Design, analyze, and maintain mechanical systems in hydroelectric plants in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
• Utilize software tools such as Solid Works and AutoCAD to create detailed 3D models and designs for mechanical equipment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and implement innovative solutions for complex mechanical engineering problems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Conduct reliability analysis and risk assessments of mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Participate in project planning and management, including cost estimation, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including environmental and safety regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the power utility sector.
• Proficiency in Solid Works and AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.
• Demonstrated experience in the design, analysis, and maintenance of mechanical systems in hydroelectric plants.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
