Maintenance Planner (Augusta, GA) - Austin Industrial (NUTR)

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain an equipment/asset database for major spares, documenting equipment identifiers, storage/repair locations, and high‑priority equipment status.
  • Provide monthly reports to management on the location and status of major spares and maintain the equipment history file with up‑to‑date reference materials.
  • Maintain the Major Spares project structure in Oracle EAM and document repair status updates, vendor details, and life‑cycle information.
  • Track and document spares spending, provide spend analysis and reporting, and forecast expected spend to align with the 5‑year budgeting plan.
  • Develop and maintain inspection job‑plan templates and data packages for critical equipment, perform or assist with reliability walk‑throughs and inspections, and benchmark work orders for future asset activities.
  • Establish and maintain professional partnerships with vendors and contractors, providing all necessary information for accurate proposals.
  • Initiate purchase requisitions for materials, parts, and equipment within corporate authorization limits, write SSAs for new parts and existing equipment, and delete obsolete parts.
  • Provide management with capital spare equipment that requires repairs on a periodic basis and attend turbo machinery conferences as requested.
  • Plan capital spare and mechanical work orders for routine work, normal outages, and turnarounds; review work orders for completeness; discuss scope of work with maintenance and operations; consult with engineering, safety, or other departments when specialized advice is required.
  • Obtain necessary approvals for specialized items and plan maintenance work orders, sequencing steps, resources, estimated materials, and issue requisitions.
  • Benchmark work orders to incorporate the best job plan in future asset activities and attend the weekly Planner Meeting to stay current with onsite planning efforts.
Qualifications

  • Skill in establishing relationships, addressing conflict, and resolving issues.
  • Competent in cross‑functional, multi‑task environments.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks, provide timely responses, and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to train others in scheduling functions.
  • Willingness to work on continuous improvement aspects of scheduling.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in industrial planning and scheduling.
  • A valid driver’s license.
