Automation Engineer
We are seeking an experienced onsite Automation Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems and processes to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs. The Automation Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline operations. This position requires the ability to travel internationally for training purposes.
The ideal candidate will be open to immersing themselves in different cultures and working collaboratively with teams from around the world to gain a comprehensive understanding of our business and industry. This training can last between 2-6 weeks.
- Design and implement automated systems and processes to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline operations.
- Develop and maintain control systems for automated equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated systems and equipment.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new products and processes
- Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades to automated systems and equipment
- Create and maintain documentation related to automation processes and systems
- Train and mentor other team members on automation processes and systems
- 5-7 years of experience in automation engineering
- Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC
- Experience with Server-Client architecture Industrial communication Profinet, Modbus, OPC-UA etc
- Working with OT/IT interface, OSI PI system
- Experience with automation software and hardware systems, such as PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA
- Proficient in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python
- Experience with robotics, motion control, and vision systems
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
