Senior Engineering Manager | Pharmaceutical Manufacturing | Savannah, Georgia
A leading nonprofit organization is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to support the development and long term operation of a new 145,000 GSF pharmaceutical grade vitamin blending and tableting facility in Savannah, Georgia.
This is a permanent opportunity to join a major greenfield project at the Basis of Design stage and help lead the facility through design, construction, commissioning, validation, and startup.
Key Responsibilities- Lead engineering activities through design, construction, commissioning, and validation
- Review and challenge engineering designs, equipment specifications, P&IDs, utilities, and technical deliverables
- Provide technical oversight of major process equipment including blending, tableting, granulation, coating, and packaging
- Support equipment procurement, vendor evaluations, FATs, HAZOPs, and technical risk reviews
- Partner with QA and validation teams on IQ, OQ, PQ, and CQV activities
- Build and lead engineering and maintenance capabilities as the facility transitions into operations
- Support future capital projects, process improvements, reliability, and OEE initiatives
- 8+ years of engineering experience within OSD manufacturing, Vitamin Manufacturing or another highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Experience with greenfield, brownfield, expansions or retrofits of a manufacturing facility
- Hands on experience with facility design, equipment specification, commissioning, and process troubleshooting
- Experience with pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or GMP compliant manufacturing environments
- Experience with systems such as IBC blending, tableting, granulation, coating, or packaging is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of IQ, OQ, PQ, CQV, and validation requirements
- Experience reviewing and challenging design build contractor engineering deliverables
- Experience with equipment procurement, vendor evaluation, and FAT
- Ability to work across engineering, construction, operations, quality, and project controls
- Bachelor"'s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process Engineering, or a related discipline
