We are seeking a Market Area Controller to serve as the financial leader for a defined regional market within a growing, privately held services organization. This role will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, operational analysis, and team leadership while acting as a strategic business partner to operations leadership to improve efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls
- Deliver variance analysis, KPIs, and actionable financial insights
- Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts in partnership with operations
- Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions
Analyze revenue trends, cost drivers, and operational initiatives to improve margins - Support audits and implement process improvements
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff
- Serve as key financial partner to operations, sales, and compliance teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 8–10+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience
- CPA preferred
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis expertise
- Proven experience leading and developing accounting teams
- Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with operational leaders
