We are seeking a Plant Controller for our team located in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. This role involves managing manufacturing cost accounting in our industry, and ensures the smooth operation of our plant's financial activities. • Oversee and manage the entire financial management system in the plant.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws regarding all financial and reporting matters.
• Prepare and present financial reports and risk analysis.
• Create budgets and forecasts for the plant.
• Supervise all finance personnel involved in accounting, invoicing, payroll, etc.
• Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
• Detect and address potential compliance issues proactively.
• Maintain good relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or industry
• Proven expertise in Manufacturing Cost Accounting
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a master's degree
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Hands‑on experience with accounting software like SAP or Oracle
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong understanding of financial analysis and reporting
• Ability to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
