Job Description
We are in search of a VP/Director of Finance in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves leading the operations of the finance department and handling all finance and accounting operational functions in our industry. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
- Manage the close of income statement and balance sheet for month-end and year-end, conduct account reconciliations & G/L analysis
- Generate cash-flow reports, project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash
- Implement the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection
- Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners
- Aid in the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis
- Motivate others by maintaining a positive professional attitude, exhibit integrity, reliability, and leadership
- Provide exceptional client services by managing self and others by responding with a sense of urgency, practicality, and accountability
- Utilized Accounting Software Systems, Accounting Functions, Annual Budget, Auditing, Budget Processes, Quick Books Pro, and Microsoft Excel in daily tasks.
- Proven experience in a senior financial management role, preferably as a VP/Director of Finance
- Extensive knowledge of accounting software systems and proficiency in Quick Books Pro
- Demonstrated ability to manage accounting functions, including ledger accounts, financial statement preparation, and regulatory reporting
- Proficiency in preparing annual budgets and understanding of budget processes
- Experience in conducting internal audits for policy adherence and regulatory compliance
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
- Exceptional strategic planning skills and ability to make sound financial decisions
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively convey financial concepts to non-financial managers
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required; an MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA/CPA) is preferred
