Position: Wholesale Credit Delivery Associate I
Overview
The Wholesale Credit Delivery Associates and Analysts have a strong understanding of the market, credit, and products within Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and/or Wealth specialty businesses. They facilitate financial analysis, risk assessment, and credit structure recommendations for clients and prospects. They progressively own assigned clients and opportunities with guidance from senior Credit Delivery leaders and mentor junior teammates. They perform prudent underwriting and risk administration with emphasis on adherence to credit policy and requirements, supplementing analysis with research and evaluations from a wide variety of sources to assess client, competitor, property segment, market, and industry risks and trends.
Responsibilities
Facilitate diligence and underwriting documentation for less complex and smaller credit relationships; support credit presentation preparation and discussions with Credit Officers and other final approvers; coordinate legal documentation efforts through closing and funding.Ensure loan agreements comply with approval documents; identify potential issues in loan documentation and address them in consultation with the Relationship Manager.Analyze financial statements/projections and document client performance, risks, and risk mitigants for less complex credits.Ensure all Credit Process Metrics are within prescribed tolerances; manage risk evaluation and compliance within the assigned portfolio and for prospects; identify issues and drive remediation.Serve as a client and internal point of contact in managing the assigned portfolio (may include site visits with client management).Support and mentor Credit Delivery Analysts.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.2-3 years of Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, or Wealth Specialty business experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of commercial real estate credit delivery principles.Ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.Demonstrated success working in a collaborative team environment.Preferred Qualifications
Master’s in Commercial Banking or Real Estate or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.2 years of experience in a Commercial Banking or Commercial Real Estate Associate Development Program or related Credit Delivery role.Benefits
