Team members collaborate closely with partner organizations and utilize data-driven tools to deliver measurable results and long-term value.

Role Description

The Funding Specialist is a full-time, on-site role working remotely nationwide. This position is responsible for managing and optimizing fundraising initiatives for sports organizations, including assessing funding needs, identifying appropriate funding opportunities, and supporting proposal development. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing financial and fundraising data, preparing reports and recommendations, coordinating communication with partner organizations, and using Pro Fund’s AI-powered system to support targeted outreach.

The Funding Specialist will also collaborate with internal teams to refine funding strategies, track performance, and ensure that fundraising activities align with organizational goals and compliance standards.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, evaluate fundraising performance, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Candidates should possess Funding and Finance skills to develop fundraising plans, understand budgeting, and manage financial aspects of funding initiatives.
  • Candidates should possess Communication skills to engage sports organizations, present funding recommendations, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Candidates should possess Investments knowledge to assess potential funding sources, understand return on investment, and support long-term financial planning for partner organizations.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in nonprofit or sports fundraising, familiarity with CRM or fundraising software, proficiency with spreadsheets and basic financial modeling, and a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, communications, or a related field.
  • Ability to work on-site in Richmond County, GA, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
