The Morgan County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a full-time 911 Communications Officer (12-hour shifts). Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
This position is a vital link between the public and emergency services. Communication Officers work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, answering emergency and non-emergency calls, and dispatching appropriate law enforcement, fire, and EMS units. This role is critical to keeping our community safe and informed.
Candidates must be willing to work varied shift hours, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:- Previous experience in dispatch, emergency services, or customer service
- P.O.S.T. Basic Communication Officer Certification (preferred but not required)
- Medical, Dental, Vision, and Disability Insurance
