The Procedure Support Tech I performs patient and non‑patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse. This job is responsible for performing a range of self‑driven support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s). Work includes inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, and maintaining operating room equipment; positioning patients; preparing patients for procedures; assisting with case cart preparation;

maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment; and transporting patients as required. The role functions as an integral member of the operating room team and maintains a safe, professional, respectful, and effective patient care environment.

Education

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) – Required

Licenses and Certifications

• AHS BLS Certification – Required
