Vital Core Health Strategies (VCHS) is an industry leader in Correctional Health Care looking for a licensed professional at this location. This is a full‑time, entry‑level position and you must be independently licensed in the state of Georgia.

Pay range: $36.00/hr – $40.00/hr (actual pay based on skills & experience).

Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Professional works as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide proactive and collaborative care in a correctional environment.

Minimum Requirements
Licensed, Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician in Georgia who can administer assessments, make clinical decisions, provide mental health treatment, and hold one of the following licenses: CMHC, LCPC, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, ACMHC, ALMFT, CSW or equivalent. Must co‑lead group therapy, one‑on‑one therapy, and crisis therapy.

Essential Functions

  • Provide crisis stabilization, complete intakes and ongoing evaluations, and consult with in‑house and community services.
  • Participate in monthly behavioral health calls, collaborate with the medical team to determine overall treatment.
  • Perform risk assessment of inmates; coordinate care with interdisciplinary team including medical staff, community providers, psychiatric hospitals, and corrections; and discharge planning.
  • Assist in planning and implementing program goals and objectives.
  • Prepare documentation, records, and reports.
  • Utilize clinical skills such as prioritizing treatment needs, crisis management, brief interventions including CBT and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Maintain excellent and timely documentation skills.
  • Make independent clinical decisions while using supervision as needed.

Required Education & Experience

  • Graduation from a Master’s level program in a behavioral health related field.
  • Minimum of one year employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent.
  • Must receive a satisfactory background investigation report.
