About the Role
Our client, a leading global medical communications agency, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President or Senior Vice President of Client Services to join their expanding US leadership team. This is a newly created role driven by growth, offering the opportunity to lead major accounts, develop cross‑functional teams, and play a key role in shaping the agency’s commercial and medical affairs strategy across global clients.

. This individual will serve as a strategic leader and client partner, overseeing account growth, operational excellence, and team performance.
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and inspire cross‑functional client services teams across the US and UK, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and delivery excellence.
- Drive account strategy and provide senior‑level oversight across publications, medical affairs, and commercial programs.
- Partner with agency leadership to shape and implement long‑term client and business growth strategies.
Client Partnership
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior‑level pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
- Build and sustain strong client relationships, ensuring the highest levels of satisfaction and partnership.
- Guide clients across global, regional, and US‑based initiatives, helping them meet key scientific and commercial objectives.
Business Development
- Contribute to agency growth through proactive business development and client expansion.
- Leverage existing industry relationships and networks to generate new client opportunities and introductions.
- Lead or support proposal development, pitch presentations, and organic account growth efforts.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee project delivery quality, budget management, and profitability across assigned accounts.
- Ensure effective collaboration across medical, scientific, creative, and digital teams.
- Mentor and develop account teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
- 10+ years of experience within medical communications, publications, medical affairs, or commercial communications
, ideally within an agency environment. - Bachelor’s degree required;
degree in a life science, healthcare, or related field strongly preferred - Proven experience leading large, cross‑functional client service teams across the US and UK.
- Strong commercial acumen and success driving account growth and new business development
. - Track record of managing senior‑level pharmaceutical/biotech clients across multiple therapy areas.
- Deep understanding of the pharma lifecycle and the integration of med affairs, publications, and commercial strategies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and client partnership skills.
