Day (United States of America)

• Prepares and examines samples for evidence of pathological conditions, following established standards and practices.
• Receives specimens sent to the laboratory and plans the method of specimen processing. Assists physicians with fine needle aspirations.
• Reports/maintains patient test results in an accurate/timely manner.
• Stains, coverslip slides, and microscopically examines specimens.
• Presents slides to Pathologist for examination.
• Maintains required records, reports, and statistics as directed.
• Maintains good relations with all staff and clients that use cytology services.

• Bachelor's Degree in Science related field and completion of cytology program.
• 1 year or more of experience in cytotechnology, including experience on both GYN and Non Gyn diagnostics.
• Ability to diagnose and report cytology cases accurately.
• CT certification (ASCP).
