The Quality Assurance and Compliance Analyst will ensure compliance with State Authorization and federal regulations by carrying out all communications, database maintenance, and reporting necessary to ensure that Augusta University's programs receive the authorizations, waivers, or other documentation required to operate legally in the states and territories of the United States, as well as foreign jurisdictions, as required. This includes oversight for online degree programs, online courses offered to non-matriculated students' clinical education, as well as postgraduate and continuing education programs.
This individual will work with academic departments to ensure each online and licenser program meets federal reporting requirements. This position will also play a key role in quality assurance processes for hybrid and online learning. Responsible for managing campus-wide compliance efforts to meet regulatory requirements for distance education activities. Research and implement best practices related to regulatory compliance in collaboration with various university administrators and colleagues from other organizations.
- STATE AUTHORIZATION RECIPROCITY AGREEMENTS: Assure compliance with State and federal Authorization regulations related to distance education by maintaining a database of current requirements for all states, territories, and other jurisdictions relevant to the conduct of online/distance educational activities by institutions of higher education based in other jurisdictions. Maintain a database of Augusta University's operations outside of Georgia. Conduct all necessary communications with the state and other jurisdictions as required to obtain and maintain necessary authorization to conduct educational activities.
SARA responsibilities include the following. Conduct thorough research into state, federal, and international authorization requirements. Lead campus-wide efforts to provide mandatory disclosures and notifications to students regarding distance education programs leading to professional licensure or certification, as mandated by NCSARA and federal law. Audit academic units to verify the provision of public disclosures and ensure compliance by incorporating necessary language into academic websites.
Develop and maintain tools for tracking and guiding university partners on regulatory compliance. Proactively monitor updates in state authorization to ensure strict adherence to federal and state regulations. Participate in ongoing professional development programs focused on compliance. - STATE AUTHORIZATION AND LICENSURE: Carry out all applications, communications, database maintenance, and reporting necessary to ensure that AU provides general and direct notifications to prospective and enrolled students whether the institution's curriculum meets state educational requirements in each state for programs leading to professional licensure or certification, regardless of modality of instruction. Gather pertinent documents and data from university partners to support state applications, surveys, and membership renewals.
