About the Role

The Administrator is responsible for the day‑to‑day administrative, business, and financial operations of the AU Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN). The role includes oversight of the Department of OBGYN Ambulatory Practice Site in the Medical Office Building (MOB), ensuring high‑quality patient/family centered care while achieving optimal business performance for the Practice Sites and the Health System.

Responsibilities
  • Direct oversight of multiple sub‑units of the Department, supervising the administrative staff.
  • Manage recruitment, placement, supervision, and training of support personnel in the Office of the Chairman.
  • Oversee all active financial accounts, budget development, and financial management to keep expenditures within budget.
  • Prepare timely financial, expenditure, revenue, and payroll statements for strategic decision‑making.
  • Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures, including HR, EEO/AA, facilities, materials management, and telecommunications.
  • Recruit, supervise, and develop administrative staff; facilitate faculty and APP recruitment to enhance departmental missions.
  • Manage daily operations of ambulatory practice sites, including finance, facility, professional billing, and compliance with 100% charge capture.
  • Initiate and participate in performance improvement/quality improvement programs in Ambulatory Care.
  • Ensure compliance with external regulatory standards (Joint Commission, NCOA, HEDIS, ACGME).
  • Develop revenue enhancement plans and business development initiatives for ambulatory practice sites.
  • Monitor patient access, flow, and satisfaction; identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support educational initiatives for students, residents, and fellows, including clinical program expansion and faculty development.
  • Represent the organization positively and facilitate community outreach and marketing of ambulatory practice sites.
  • Serve on appropriate committees related to ambulatory care and contribute to the development of professional standards and policies.
  • Assist in the orientation of new faculty and ensure adequate managerial infrastructure for research expansion.
  • Maintain professional growth through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Master of Business Administration, Health Administration, Public Health, or related discipline.
  • At least five years of clinical administrative and business experience.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and related business software/databases.
Shift / Salary / Benefits
  • Shift: Days, M–F (outside normal business hours may be required).
  • Pay Band: 19;
    Salary range: $144,800–$184,600 annually (commensurate with qualifications).
  • Benefits include health, dental, life insurance, Teachers Retirement System (or optional retirement plan), earned vacation, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays.
  • Tuition Assistance Program available for eligible full‑time employees after six months of employment.
  • Recruitment Period: 10/24/25 – Until Filled;
    Position Refresh: 2/12/26 – Until Filled.
