Job Description

AMN Healthcare partners with a school district in Augusta, Georgia to hire a Speech‑Language Pathologist for a contract position. The SLP will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide comprehensive speech and language services that support academic and social development.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with goals for students with speech and language needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings throughout the school year.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide training and resources to teachers and staff on effective strategies to integrate speech therapy goals into the classroom environment.
Qualifications
  • Speech/Language Pathologist with a Clinical Fellowship School qualification.
  • New graduate accepted; CF SLP also accepted.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting, early childhood, or pediatric context.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and community members.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
