Recreation Therapy Aide Opportunity
As a Recreation Therapy Aide, you’ll play an active role in enhancing patients’ quality of life by creating and leading engaging, therapeutic recreation programs. Working alongside Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists, you’ll help design activities tailored to individual interests, support patients in discovering new leisure skills, and contribute to personalized treatment plans that promote growth, independence, and well‑being.
Job Duties /Responsibilities- Design and lead a dynamic recreation therapy program, including fitness, creative arts, outdoor activities, community outings, and special events like birthdays, holidays, and graduations; create engaging weekly activity schedules that inspire participation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across Medicine, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, and Therapy to ensure recreation services are well‑coordinated and integrated into patient care.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and therapeutic groups, contributing to care planning while building strong partnerships with community organizations to expand patient opportunities.

- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- At least one year’s experience working with emotional and behavioral disorders with children, adolescents, and/or adults.
- Experience in inpatient setting preferred.
