Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform echocardiograms to assess cardiac structure and function for patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. This position plays a critical role in supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions in a geriatric population.
Responsibilities- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) in accordance with established protocols
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by cardiology providers
- Prepare patients for procedures and ensure comfort and safety throughout testing
- Identify and document anatomical and functional cardiac findings
- Accurately document procedures and upload studies to designated systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment as needed
- Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, and facility policies
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff
- Travel to skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent certification required
- Prior experience performing echocardiograms required
- Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred
- Strong technical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with the geriatric population
- Ability to travel as needed
