Inpatient Content Management Consultant
As a CDI Content Management Consultant, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Responsibilities- Impart knowledge and expertise in CDI, inpatient coding, DRG methodologies, risk adjustment, quality indicators, comorbidity indices, clinical documentation integrity, utilization management, population health and coding compliance to both customers and internal team members.
- Develop and maintain training materials and resources related to Solventum’s Visit Integrity training program.
- Work closely with the Solventum Technical Writing team using their editing software.
- Manage all aspects of Solventum’s monthly education network, including coordinating and scheduling topics and speakers, editing speaker presentations, and hosting monthly sessions.
- Collaborate directly with coding, clinical team members and customers.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND eight (8) years of clinical coding experience or acute care CDI experience.
- High School Diploma or GED AND eleven (11) years of clinical coding experience or acute care CDI experience.
- RHIA, RHIT with CCS certification OR a valid RN or license with a minimum of five (5) years of acute care experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of CDI experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of coding experience.
- Master’s degree in HIM, Nursing, or another healthcare clinical background.
- Preferred 7+ years in advanced CDI or Health Information Management (HIM) services consulting and/or managing CDI or coding functions in mid-to-large size acute care hospital settings.
- Strong ICD‑10‑CM/PCS coding and DRG methodologies experience and deep understanding of clinical documentation, medical record coding, healthcare billing and revenue cycle management.
- Working knowledge of risk‑adjusted methodologies (e.g., APR‑DRGs), utilization management processes, population health, and quality of care measures (e.g., HACs, PSIs).
- Ability to perform in-depth review of Federal Register, ICD‑10‑CM/PCS Coding Guidelines and ICD‑10‑CM/PCS coding updates to synthesize and distill information for updating CDI materials and resources.
- Remote work. Domestic travel may be required up to 3% of the time.
- No relocation assistance is authorized.
- Solventum must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for an employment visa.
- Expected compensation range: $125,600 – $172,700 (base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible).
