WhatYou'll Do
As an PRN X-Ray Technologist at Ortho Atlanta, you'll:
- Explain procedures clearly, address concerns, and ensure patients are positioned correctly for musculoskeletal imaging
- Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently to produce diagnostic digital images of bones, joints, and soft tissues
- Apply proper immobilization techniques and follow established safety protocols at all times
- Perform routine checks on X-ray equipment and adhere to quality control standards
- Monitor and restock X-ray supplies as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations
- Record procedures and imaging results accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record system
- Pays close attention to detail and values accuracy in diagnostic imaging
- Communicates clearly and compassionately with patients and healthcare providers
- Thrives in a busy clinical setting and can manage multiple imaging requests efficiently
- Works independently while also collaborating with a broader clinical team
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (preferred) or eligible to obtain ARRT certification
- 1+ year of experience as an X-Ray Technician (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team
