Established in 2017, the Department of Juvenile Justice Health Services was established through a unique collaboration between Augusta University Health System and the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice with the goal of delivering high-quality health services to the state of Georgia
¿ s justice-involved youth in 25 facilities.

Metro RYDC(Located in DeKalb County)1300 Constitution Road, SEAtlanta, GA
Responsibilities
Duties 1 - 35
Patient triage to include taking vital signs, recording of patient interview/complaints and prepares the patient for exams/ procedures as needed.
Duties 2 - 20
Process lab requests to include venipuncture. Performs routine screening tests, EKG's, nebulizer treatments and changing dressings as ordered.
Duties 3 - 15
Preparation and administration of medications as prescribed. Notes times and amounts on patient records.
Duties 4 - 15
Entering clinical data into the electronic medical record and maintaining accurate and complete documentation in the patient record.
Duties 5 - 15
Assists with administrative clerical duties, answering phones and scheduling appointments as needed.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High school diploma with two years of experience and one of the following:
AAMA - American Association of Medical Assistant
CCMA - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
Med Ca - Medical Career Assessment
NCMA - National Certified Medical Assistant
RMA - Registered Medical Assistant
Preferred Qualifications
Additional
Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years previous experience in a clinical setting and correctional clinical experience.
Experience with electronic medical record is preferred.
Bi-lingual a plus.

* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
