East Houston Medical Center is seeking an experienced, compassionate, anddetail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. In this role, youwill perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations that supportaccurate patient assessment, timely diagnosis, and exceptional clinical care.
The ideal candidate is a skilled imaging professional who demonstrates strong technical ability, sound judgment, and a commitment to patient-centered service. This position requires professionalism, accuracy, and the ability towork collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of thecare team.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders,departmental protocols, and established imaging standards.
- Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures clearly and respectfully.
- Operateultrasound equipment to obtain quality images for interpretation.
- Evaluateimage quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure diagnosticaccuracy.
- Documentprocedures accurately and maintain complete and timely records.
- Communicatecritical findings or concerns to the appropriate clinical personnel.
- Maintainpatient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, hospital policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Participate in equipment care, quality assurance, and departmental workflow as needed.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and clinical staff to support efficientpatient care.
- Minimum of2 years of recent ultrasound experience preferred.
- Graduate ofan accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent training required.
- Currentcertification through ARDMS preferred or required, depending on specialty.
- BLScertification required or the ability to obtain upon hire.
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures, anatomy, physiology, and imagingtechniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
- Ability towork independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and quality patient service.
- Experience in general, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, or other specialtyultrasound applications.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and imaging documentation systems.
- Prior experience in acute care or hospital-based imaging preferred.
This position may require standing for extended periods, lifting or assisting patients as needed, and the ability to perform repetitive motionsassociated with ultrasound procedures. Candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of a clinical imaging environment.
