• Welcome patients and visitors and maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal, financial and insurance information.
• Check Patients in collecting copayments or account balances.
• Scheduling appointments for multiple providers.
• Verification of insurance.
• Comforts patients by anticipating anxieties, answering questions, and maintaining the reception area.
• Answer incoming calls, patient communication through the patient portal.
• Complete all tasks in non-clinical buckets in the EMR.
• Protect patient rights by insuring confidentiality of personal and financial information.
• Contribute to team effort with other duties as assigned.
• All other duties as assigned by their direct supervisor and/or Practice Manager.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical administrative and clerical procedures.
• Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications, Excel, Word, Athena Health is a big plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Working knowledge of healthcare insurance.

$19 - $22 per hour based on years’ experience
