The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University provides dental education to the next generation of professionals by offering hands-on education through innovative research, patient care, and service. The DCG was founded to provide the people of Georgia with quality dental care by educating students in dentistry. Patients have the option to receive treatment in one of three models: student clinics, resident care, or in the faculty practice.

The facility serves patients in more than 20 clinics across Georgia.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting students, faculty, and residents with supplies and instruments for all patient care activity and/or pre-clinical activity. It is responsible and accountable for electronic inventory control of supplies, equipment, and dental instruments. It is responsible for charge slips for items students purchase. It is responsible for maintaining equipment, including minor repairs. It is responsible for assisting with the collection of dirty instruments and processing these instruments.

It maintains upkeep and order of storage rooms to ensure proper ordering of supplies needed for clinics and to maintain the integrity of the supply inventory system. It maintains supplies for all clinics, dispensaries and clinical labs.

Responsibilities

The duties include, but are not limited to:

• MAINTAIN INSTRUMENTS: Issue instruments as well as supplemental supplies for all clinical activities. Ensure proper scanning of instruments to students, residents and faculty. Transport carts to clinic. Maintain accurate records of items checked out from the dispensary and/or purchased by students. Ensure timely return of items checked out by students.
