The Patient Access Registrar is typically the first point of contact and must ensure a pleasant experience for patients and visitors.

• Interview patients and/or their representatives to obtain complete and accurate demographic, financial, and insurance information required for billing and collecting patient accounts.
• Obtain all necessary customer consents.
• Coordinate the collection of all estimated patient liabilities, including copayments and unmet deductibles.
• Verify insurance benefits and coverage for inpatients and outpatients.
• Respond to customer requests and answer questions regarding service and account information.
• Analyze and rectify customer concerns.
• Use computer systems to access and update customer records.

• High School diploma or equivalent (required minimum education).
• Proficient touch typist, 40 words‑per‑minute or above.
• Data entry competency.
• Excellent attendance required.
• Work stability and dependability.
• Professional appearance and behavior, effective communication skills, and active listening skills.
• Superior customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and in stressful situations.

Light to medium physical work; able to lift up to 20 pounds and move patients using a wheelchair.

Full time, with additional PRN positions available. Preferred shifts include evening and night. Must work every other weekend, be available for holidays, and handle some shift rotation. This position is a day/evening split.
