Reports to:

F&B Manager and/or  Banquet Manager Jekyll Island Convention Center, Legends Global managed facility, has an immediate opening for part-time banquet servers.

* Position Summary:

** This position provides a high quality catering service for banquets.
*
* Qualifications:

*** Must be 18 years of age or older
* Must be able to work unsupervised
* Must have attention to detail
* Must have reliable transportation
* Must have good oral communication skills
* Must have strong customer service skills
* Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events
* Must have strong interpersonal skills
* Must be results driven, follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed
* Must be able to work flexible hours.
** Major Responsibilities:
*** Assist with collecting all banquet equipment to include flatware, china, glassware, and serving pieces needed for each event
* Prepares garnishes, beverages, condiments, and breads
* Clean and fill salt and pepper containers, sugar dishes, creamers, etc
* Assist with preparation and set-up of event room when necessary
* Prepare tables with place settings as instructed
* Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the standard drink recipes
* Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
* Establish and maintain positive client relationships
* Breakdown tables and banquet equipment after each event
* Clean and return serving pieces to proper storage area
* Performs cash handling and/or cashiering functions based on demand
* Perform other duties as assigned
** Physical Demands:
*** Daily lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. Up to 10 minutes at a time.
* Constant reaching, standing, walking and stooping
* Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination
* Must be able to balance and have good manual dexterity
* Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events
* Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
