Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing HR support and consultation across our manufacturing operations. Acting as a liaison between employees, departments, and leadership, this position supports a broad range of human resources activities, including recruiting, selection and staffing, employee documentation, job evaluation, compensation, and benefits. Under general direction, the role also provides support for labor relations matters.

Essential Functions Organizational Effectiveness
  • Partner with operations leaders to provide HR guidance, coaching, and support across employee and business needs
  • Manage performance management processes, coach leaders on performance issues, and promote accountability through timely resolution of concerns
  • Advise leaders on the implementation of HR programs, policies, and initiatives including recruitment, training, communication, continuous improvement, and organizational design
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement HR initiatives, policies, and process improvements
  • Foster a leadership and coaching culture aligned with company values and support HR activities for hourly and salaried employees
Employee & Labor Relations
  • Serve as a primary HR resource for leaders and employees by interpreting and administering company policies and labor agreements
  • Investigate employee concerns, grievances, and contract compliance issues while promoting consistent disciplinary practices and timely resolution
  • Advise leaders through grievance processes and support arbitration preparation and administration as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to grievances, investigations, and labor relations activities
  • Support labor negotiations by identifying, addressing, and helping resolve potential labor issues proactively
Talent
  • Support the development, administration, and delivery of training programs for a variety of audiences
  • Execute talent acquisition activities to attract, recruit, and retain a diverse workforce using established processes and tools
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation and onboarding programs
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and communication of workforce policies, practices, and procedures
  • Prepare and distribute policy updates and procedural changes to employees in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • Less than 2 years of HR experience performing a wide range of HR generalist duties
  • Manufacturing, multi-site, and/or complex-site experience
  • Solid knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements
  • Experience with HRIS platforms, including Time & Attendance, LMS, and ATS systems
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality
  • Demonstrated change management skills
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Work primarily in an office environment with extended periods of sitting, frequent computer use, repetitive hand and arm movements, and periodic standing, walking, and movement throughout office and meeting areas
  • Entry into manufacturing, warehouse, or operational areas requires compliance with safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye and hearing protection, hard hat, and steel-toed footwear
  • Occasional physical activities such as lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, walking on uneven surfaces, or moving materials, as required by the role
