Solution Architect Overview
The Solution Architect serves as the strategic and technical lead for our modern data and analytics ecosystem, integrating key platforms such as Autodesk, e‑Builder, CxAlloy, Palantir, Workday, and Oracle. This role ensures scalable, secure, and governed data solutions that enable advanced analytics, cost control, performance insights, and streamlined project delivery across the enterprise.
Responsibilities- Architecture & Solution Design
- Define and maintain the end‑to‑end enterprise data architecture integrating construction management, financial, and operational systems.
- Design scalable, performance‑optimised data solutions spanning Autodesk (design/BIM), e‑Builder (project management), CxAlloy (commissioning & facility performance), Workday (financials/HR), Oracle (ERP), and Palantir (data analytics).
- Architect robust data pipelines and models to unify project, asset, cost, and workforce data for enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Enable cross‑platform data sharing and automation, leveraging APIs, middleware, and data integration frameworks (e.g., Mule Soft, Fivetran, or equivalent).
- Oversee data visualization and insight delivery, delivering governed self‑service dashboards and reports for executives, project managers, and field teams.
- Governance & Standards
- Define enterprise data architecture standards, including modelling conventions, naming policies, and data quality frameworks.
- Collaborate with governance, security, and compliance teams to ensure all data flows adhere to corporate, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Champion metadata management, data lineage, and auditability across all core construction and business systems.
- Ensure integration and data sharing comply with contractual obligations and third‑party partner requirements.
- Collaboration & Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to operations, finance, project controls, and IT teams, translating complex construction workflows into sustainable data architecture.
- Partner with data engineers, business analysts, application owners, and integration specialists to ensure alignment across product, project, and portfolio levels.
- Mentor teams on data architecture principles, analytics best practices, and the effective use of Autodesk, e‑Builder, and other core systems.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate and recommend emerging development/construct technology and data integration tools (e.g., Autodesk Data Connector, Oracle Analytics, or Palantir Foundry) for enterprise adoption.
- Lead proof‑of‑concept initiatives to validate new approaches for project analytics, predictive insights, and automation.
- Continuously monitor and optimise data performance, processing efficiency, and cloud costs across multi‑system integrations.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering technology, or a related field.
- U.S. citizenship required by law due to federal customer contracts.
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics solution design, preferably within construction, engineering, or asset management industries.
- Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, and metadata management.
- Experience designing and managing API‑led integrations and analytics ecosystems.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, able to present architectural options to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience with construction technology ecosystems integrating design, cost, and performance management data.
- Proven expertise integrating and optimizing Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360, e‑Builder (Project and Cost Management), CxAlloy (Commissioning, Operations Data), Palantir Foundry (Data Fusion and Analytics), Workday (Finance, HR, and Resource Planning), Oracle Cloud/Primavera/Unifier.
- Knowledge of BIM data structures, digital twin frameworks, and field data integration.
- Certifications such as Autodesk Certified Professional, Oracle Cloud Data Architect, or Workday Integration Architect.
