The IT Systems Support Analyst delivers high‑quality Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to faculty, staff, and students, resolving a wide range of hardware, software, and peripheral‑related issues. The role includes documenting and resolving service requests in alignment with service level agreements, managing and supporting functional systems unique to the Augusta University Riverfront Campus, mentoring interns, providing audiovisual support for academic and campus events, and collaborating on broader IT initiatives.
Responsibilities- Functional System Administration:
Support and maintain IT systems and services specific to the Riverfront Campus, manage badging and physical security access, and ensure system integrity and continuity. - Projects:
Participate in department‑wide and institution‑wide IT projects and initiatives as assigned. - Audio‑Visual and Event Support:
Provide AV support for classrooms, meetings, and campus events, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting. - General IT Support:
Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, operating systems, and peripheral devices; respond to, document, and resolve service requests in a timely manner; assist with system deployments, upgrades, and maintenance. - Intern Mentorship:
Provide guidance and support to interns, including task assignment, training, and performance feedback. - Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree with two years related field experience, or Associate degree with three years directly related field experience, or High School diploma/GED with seven years directly related experience and at least two related certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CTS). Must have a valid driver’s license.
- In‑depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and internet/network connectivity.
- Detail‑oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
- Hands‑on support requiring functional use of hands, arms, legs, and feet, and sensory functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with customers to explain complex IT solutions.
- Ability to give clear, accurate information and anticipate customer questions.
- Effective teamwork, collaboration, problem analysis, solution implementation, time management, and ability to work with diverse personalities.
Days; M-F – Work outside of standard business hours may be required.
Pay Band: B10
• Salary: $52,500–$65,600 annually (commensurate with qualifications).
Benefits may include health, dental, and life insurance;
Teachers Retirement System or optional retirement plan; vacation, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays. Full‑time employees after six months may qualify for Tuition Assistance.
Position partially supported by external funding; continuation contingent upon funding availability.
Conditions of Employment- Successful background check required.
Credit check may be required for trust positions or purchase‑card use.
Drivers’ reports required for positions that require driving. - Faculty hires must provide proof of academic degrees and transcripts; foreign education requires credential evaluation.
- All employees must protect sensitive information and adhere to cybersecurity and privacy policies.
The selected candidate must have a valid driver’s license.
