Data Scientist - Expert Level Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• The Data Scientist conducts data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis, using scientific techniques to transform data into narrative products to support informed decision-making. They proactively retrieve information from various sources, analyze datasets, and build AI tools that automate processes. Duties include creating ML‑based tools such as recommendation engines or automated lead scoring systems, performing statistical analysis, applying data mining techniques, and building high‑quality prediction systems.
  
  Candidates should have skills in data visualization (Power BI, Tableau), programming in R and Python, data source integration (SQL, R, Python), and experience with large‑scale multi‑intelligence analytics, ML, and automated predictive analytics.

• Education:
  
  MA or MS in a STEM discipline with 5 years of relevant experience, or BA/BS in STEM with 10 years of experience.
• Demonstrated mastery of geographic and geospatial scientific principles, tools, and analytical techniques.
• Proficiency with data science techniques including logistic regression, vector analysis, natural language processing, PCA, clustering, neural networks, deep learning, image recognition, and related algorithms.
• Experience with tabular analysis, SQL, and scripting languages (Python, R, Julia, etc.) to deliver unique insights.
• Familiarity with agile software development frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean).
• Current/active TS/SCI clearance.

• Experience with IT, business, or operational metrics platforms (Splunk, Elastic, Confluence, etc.).
• AWS certification (AI/ML specialty).
• Knowledge of the NSG tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination (TCPED) production chain.
• Experience working within a DoD or IC operational environment and with DoD/IC geospatial data repositories.
• Familiarity with Army, DoD, or IC GEOINT or geospatial processes, policy, and programs.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools to deliver reports, graphics, and briefings.
