ResponsibilitiesThe Targeting Analyst develops targets and target systems for joint lethal and/or non‑lethal engagements, produces all‑source analytic damage estimates and battle damage assessments, performs collateral damage estimation, manages target lists, develops target strategy, and provides joint target intelligence support to deliberate and dynamic target engagements. The analyst provides recommendations for target prioritization to achieve commander objectives for plans and operations and handles database nominations, uploads, and updates.
Required Qualifications and SkillsEducation/
Experience:
- MA or MS in Remote Sensing, Cartography, Geography, or related field and at least 6 years of current intelligence analysis experience.
- BA/BS degree in Remote Sensing, Cartography, Geography, or related field and at least 8 years of intelligence analysis experience.
- HS diploma/GED and specialized training with at least 12 years of intelligence analysis experience.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in remote sensing, geospatial analysis, all‑source analysis.
- Minimum 5 years supporting the Joint targeting cycle.
- Understanding of the Intelligence Cycle, Collection Management Cycle, Targeting Cycle, and supporting intelligence analytic techniques; understanding of Intelligence support/role in the MDMP.
- Expert level research and writing skills.
- Expert knowledge of GEOINT software including Remote View, SOCET GXP, DIEE, or ArcGIS.
- Experience with photogrammetric principles and techniques.
- Experience overseeing and executing target development standards as defined in JP 3‑60 and CJCSI 3370.01D.
- Training and expert knowledge in basic, intermediate, and advanced target development.
- Current or active TS/SCI clearance desired.
- GPC‑II Imagery Certification.
- Experience with commercial visualization software.
- Experience with MS Office suite of tools.
- Experience presenting at community forums and symposiums.
- Completion of related Army (or service equivalent) 35/350G, 12Y/125D, or 35F/350F military occupational specialty school.
