IT Project Manager, Systems Analyst
Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Director, Project Management Office, this role is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. The project manager takes projects from original concept through final implementation, provides advanced technical and analytical guidance, manages workflow and deliverables for moderately complex, enterprise‑wide projects, and facilitates project status communication to support IT developments necessary for mission‑related functions.
Responsibilities include defining project scope, developing detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports, conducting project meetings, tracking and analyzing projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, reviewing deliverables, managing vendor integration, and resolving project issues.
- Serve as main point of contact and lead for internal clients in the development and implementation of moderately complex projects.
- Develop and manage technical project plans aligned to scope, schedule, budget, and resources; provide moderately advanced technical, analytical, and cost‑analysis guidance to project teams.
- Coordinate and integrate vendor workflows across multi‑unit initiatives; track, review, and validate vendor deliverables.
- Draft and deliver project status communication and reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of experience, including leading and managing IT projects in a complex organization.
Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree and the PMI Project Management Professional credential; successful experience working with large‑scale enterprise systems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
- Process improvement and cost‑analysis expertise.
- Sound project management skills with the ability to apply PMI standards and other methodologies.
- Strong customer service skills and relationship‑building with customers and teams.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Executive‑level written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to coach, lead, and mentor other Project Managers.
- Proven ability to lead and keep team members focused on project tasks for effective project delivery.
- Assist in product evaluations, recommendations, and presentations.
Shift: Days; M‑F (work outside of standard business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B14
Salary: $75,300–$96,000 annually (commensurate with qualifications within the established range; generally minimum‑midpoint)
