Job Summary
Within each embedded support team, a PC Systems Analyst 2 (PCSA2) is dedicated to meeting the technology support needs of the assigned college(s), supporting Augusta University’s mission of leadership and excellence in teaching, discovery, clinical care, and service. The PCSA2 acts as an IT rescue go‑to for their community, providing fast, professional, and friendly resolution for the barriers that appear in modern computing on a regular basis.
They proactively reduce the frequency and impact of problems, continuously improving processes and maximizing time and cost efficiencies for the university. In addition to traditional IT support and troubleshooting, this role consults and individually trains faculty and staff on enterprise technologies, including hardware, software, and web applications, escalating to appropriate teams when necessary and ensuring accurate documentation throughout.
- Troubleshoot, train, and support software and hardware including PCs, Macs, mobile devices, and peripherals; manage internet and network connectivity.
- Implement and monitor standards and procedures, facilitate data backup and recovery, and maintain service logs.
- Gain expert‑level knowledge of workstation management tools and use an incident management system to document service requests.
- Develop clear documentation and knowledge‑base articles for both internal and customer‑facing use.
- Provide consultation and training to staff and faculty on enterprise systems, promoting good cybersecurity practices.
- Mentor and cross‑train other IT staff.
- Communicate clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner with customers and internal units about ongoing issues and resolutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two years of related experience.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and three years of related experience.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent and five years of related experience.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- CompTIA A+ certification.
- AVIXA CTS certification.
- Microsoft Office Specialist certification.
- Project Management certification (any level).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
- In‑depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and internet/network connectivity.
- Detail‑oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate standards, policies, and procedures clearly.
- Clear and accurate communication skills.
- Ability to anticipate problems and questions.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Effective verbal and written communication with customers to obtain information.
- Effective teamwork and collaboration.

Shift: Days;
Monday–Friday (work outside of standard business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B11
Salary: $56,600 annually, commensurate with qualifications within the established range (generally minimum‑midpoint)
