Position Description, Functions, Duties and Tasks:
This position is responsible for the support and improvement of the data and communications infrastructure at the Augusta Technology Center and Distribution Center.
Functions, Duties, and Tasks:
- Manage, monitor, and support the Augusta Technology Center network infrastructure
- Administer local servers and support server software and hardware
- Manage IT cabling including CAT5, fiber optics, telephone systems
- Coordinate with corporate support teams to resolve Wide Area Network (WAN) and IP telephony issues
- Coordinate with the Process Control Group to resolve network issues.
- Coordinate with corporate support teams on software standards for servers and workstations
- Work with outside vendors to manage IT infrastructure projects.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in computers with direct support of network gear, server hardware and software.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, SNMP, Backup systems, etc. required.
- Microsoft Windows Server administration and setup experience required.
- Familiarity with Exchange, IIS, SNMP, SAN and other server platforms desired.
- Cable plant design and knowledge of standards.
- Requires the ability to develop effective partnerships with internal customers and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be highly organized and focused on providing solutions to business needs.

- Those associated with sedentary work. Must be able to climb stair and ladders when required.
