Job Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision, receives, stores, and issues property and supplies; coordinates property management and inventory control.
  • Checks purchase orders for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
  • Conducts physical inventories.
  • Coordinates the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies from established vendors.
  • Engages in receiving, storing, and shipping all types of materials and supplies.
  • Maintains inventory control records.
  • Processes field purchase orders.
  • Reviews and audits warehouse records and reports; reviews requisitions to verify if merchandise is contracted.
  • Screens, receives, stores, inventories, and distributes surplus property.
Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of job-related experience in inventory, purchasing, or supply chain management, or 1 year of experience at the lower level Purchasing Agent I (FET
040) or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Use of Microsoft O365 platforms and experience in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical activity.
  • Knowledge of purchasing principles and procurement procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, staff, and management.
Essential Worker Statement

All East Central Health District 6 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. You may be called on to participate in events such as staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC), or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If called to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
