- Maintain supplier relationships for assigned groups and act as primary point of contact for all communications.
- Support efforts to identify and implement supplier cost reductions.
- Assist in the selection and management of new and current suppliers.
- Support materials and quality teams to address supplier delivery and quality issues.
- Source materials for new product launches and product model changes.
- Support the supplier transition process by allocating work from an external supplier to in house production or vice versa, as needed.
- Coordinate request for quote packages with supply base to ensure premium pricing for materials.
- Manage materials projects by using problem solving techniques, data from factory information system, and lean manufacturing concepts.
- Contribute to a culture of respect, dignity, and inclusion, where everyone feels heard and understood, empowered, and valued.
