This is a hands-on position with a heavy emphasis on strategic thinking and leading the activities that relate to all aspects of warehouse management. The successful candidate must be proficient in using computer software, including warehouse management systems, Excel, and enterprise systems such as Sage. The role will lead, train, and develop a team of warehouse managers. These managers will own specific departments within the warehouse including inbound receive and put away, outbound picking/shipping, and inventory control/quality assurance.

An ability to adapt to changing work environments and implementing standard work procedures will be essential to succeeding in this role.

Essential Functions

• Leading all aspects of warehouse operations from Inbound Receive to Outbound Shipping processes. Implementing standard work processes through our system of record (Sage) will be vital
• Coordinate, evaluate and provide requirements and cost reducing initiatives with the 3PL project manager through data evaluation and analysis
• Develop, compile and maintain records of the quantity, type, and value of the inventory on hand with customer specific nomenclature through our system of record and warehouse management system (Sage)
• Lead monthly and year-end inventory cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation issues
• Track the transportation and distribution of all inbound and outbound products
• Analysis of product supply chain and inventory to support product availability for customer demands
• Coordinating inventory requirements and procurement details with vendors and customers as needed
• Accounting and reporting of inventory surplus, product/tool returns, variances, and any damages
• Manage a fleet of local delivery drivers and all inbound deliveries
• Ensure all employees and visitors entering the warehouse are always wearing the proper safety equipment and security badges
• Works in conjunction with all staff to ensure readiness for any inspection or audit
• Lead the warehouse safety committee, ISO initiatives, and implementation of lean manufacturing processes

• Strong ability to adapt to a changing and high paced environment to include implementing standard work processes and driving through your warehouse management team
• Ability to lead in a strategic manner and capable of utilizing data and key indicators to make sound business decisions
• Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management and quality management
• Computer proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e., Excel, Word, etc.
• Excellent communications skills (written, verbal & listening) and interpersonal skills needed to interface with and influence all levels of personnel
• Ability to work Monday through Friday assigned schedule, with occasional required weekends
• Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize daily work and meet all internal and external deadlines
• Experience in all aspects of local transportation and drayage
• Experience with fleet management and compliance
• Ability to push and pull up to 75 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds

• Degree in related or technical field
• Minimum 5-7 years of leadership experience in transportation, warehousing, and/or distribution environment
• Experience using ERP’s, such as Sage, Oracle, SAP, Net Suite, etc.
• Experienced trainer for forklift and pallet jack use
• Class A or B license or pick-up and delivery experience with Driver training and safety
• Bilingual English and Mandarin
